It is compatible with Vex IQ and requires 3 size C batteries, which are not included in the kit. While building the kit is time-consuming and fun, the customer experience with the actual use of the product is mixed. Users experienced difficulty in lifting heavier objects, and the base frequently popped out, forcing them to rebuild the base often. The rotation feature of the arm constantly hangs up on the base, and the rotation gear fell apart easily. Some reported missing pieces and errors in the instructions.
